Aeroplane part found on Reunion island could be from missing flight MH370Aeroplane debris found on washed up on Reunion island on 29 July, 2015, could be from flight MH370 which went missing 8 March 2014.

Specialists believe the debris to be from a 777, the same type of

plane as flight MH370, but it is too early to say for sure if the part is from a 777.
The debris has been discovered far from where teams have been looking for remains of the plane. Specialists believe that MH370 went down in the southern Indian Ocean, and search teams have been looking for remains of the plane nearer to the Australian coast.
Reunion is however in the western Indian Ocean, far from where teams have been conducting their searches. According to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, the agency tasked by the Malaysian government with finding the plane, have indicated that drift models -- analysis of how plane parts might travel with the ocean currents -- could allow parts of a wreckage to reach the western Indian Ocean.
The discovery of this plane part could mean more anxiety for families of the 227 passengers and 12 crew members who have been missing since the flight disappeared on 8 March, 2014.
